Jello Poke Cake

Recipe History: I've had this recipe since the days when I lived in Globe, and Den and Paul were just babies! Perhaps Janice McInturff gave it to me.

Ingredients:
1 white or yellow cake mix
1 6-oz pkg Jello (any flavor)
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
Whipped topping

Directions:

• Bake cake according to pkg directions.
• Cool cake 20 minutes.
• Using a wooden spoon handle, poke holes in the cake at 1/2-inch intervals.
• Pour Jello slowly over cake, covering all holes.
• Chill 3-4 hours.
• Serve.

Tip: Top with whipping.
