Recipe History: Been making this salad since I was married to Jim! It's amazingly good!
Ingredients:
1 head lettuce
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 pint mayonnaise (low fat is fine)
2 to 3 Tablespoons sugar
1 package frozen peas
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
8 pieces crumbled bacon
Directions
Cover bottom of a 9x12 baking pan with bite sized lettuce pieces
Add green pepper, celegy and peas
Spread Mayonnaise over top, like a frosting
Sprinkle with sugar
Top with shredded cheese and bacon bits
Chill overnight (or at least 12 hours)
