Recipe History: I have always loved casseroles and one pan meals. This is a dish I developed before Hamburger helper and it so easy and the kids love it! It's no side dish!
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
2 cups canned tomatoes
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper 2 cups water
1 cup uncooked rice
Directions:
- Brown ground beef in skillet.until no longer pink.
- Add onion and green pepper and cook until soft
- Add tomatoes, rice, salt, and black pepper
- Cook covered over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
