Recipe History: I don't know how old this recipe from a newspaper is, but our Mom wrote on it, "Delicious easy casserole (don't leave out green pepper)."
Ingredients:
4 ozs wide noodles
1 tblsp oil
1/3 cup chopped onion
2 tblsps green bell pepper
1 10-3/4 oz can cheese soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 5-oz can tuna packed in water
1/2 cup bread crumbs or crushed potato chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Cook noodles per pkg directions, except don't overcook.
Saute onion and green bell pepper in a scant tblsp of hot oiul until tender.
Stir in soup, milk, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil, watching closely.
Add tuna and cooked noodles.
Mix lightly and pour into a 2-quart casserole.
Sprinkle top with crumbs or chips.
Bake 25-30 minutes, until bubbly.
